If you’re acquainted with other website builders, you can dive in immediately. It’s a drag-and-drop website builder and its layout is similar to others. On the left-hand side, you’ll find the sidebar with all the controls. You see how your current page looks like in the main part of the screen. The interface is well-designed where its elements have understandable titles so that you’ll feel at home within minutes.

If you’re in a pinch and need to launch in the next hour, Siteupp has you covered. Its Automatic Web Builder will generate a site for you within seconds that you can edit just as you would when you start from scratch or with a template. Of course, the Automatic Web Builder removes all kinds of barriers to make it even easier for anyone to build their site.

You can manage your sites, domains, and account on the dashboard. Unfortunately, the onboarding video and guided tour are shown each and every time you enter the visual editor and have to skipped.

Siteupp gives you the option to add more CSS to further customise the design for each page. Each block on a page has a code editor so that you can dive into the code and tweak as your heart desires. Each block can be reset to its original state, should you have messed around too much.

Siteupp design and templates

In the signup process, you get to view and choose the over 50 templates that Siteup offers. The templates are free. You can filter the templates that are grouped into more detailed categories such as art, barber, carpet, and dental, just to name a few. The templates are modern and responsive.

When viewing the templates, some of the designs seem to resemble each other. This may cause a project built with Siteupp to appear like other websites and not stand out from the rest.

How to manage your ecommerce store in Siteupp?

You can add your ecommerce store just by adding a block onto the desired page. You add your products and their descriptions directly in that block. The ecommerce functions are limited to displaying the products and getting paid via Paypal. You don’t have a fully-fledged ecommerce store with Siteupp.

Siteupp integrations

The integrations of Siteupp are focused on newsletter campaigns and webinars. As you can add a block that is specifically for embedding code as well as edit the code of each block on a page, you can embed any service that offers an embedded code to extend your site.

What marketing and SEO tools does Siteupp have?

SEO

You can add meta tags to each page of your site. The meta tags are valid for the entire page.

Blogging

The blog feature works in the same way as the ecommerce store, you’ll need to add the blog block to the page where you want to display it. If you want an overview of your blog posts for example on your homepage, you’ll need to add it as a block and edit the content yourself.

Sign up forms and popups

Built-in is the option to add a signup form as a block to the page or a pop-up form to your site. The popup can be set to show with a delay and its frequency can also be configured. Remember that you will have to integrate it with one of the newsletter providers that are listed under the integrations of Siteupp.

Payment options

The only way to get paid is by adding Paypal to each product listed. Siteupp doesn’t integrate a payment gateway as such and thus doesn’t take a transaction fee.

Siteupp security

Each plan, even the free one, includes an SSL certificate for your projects. Since payments are done directly in Paypal, it doesn’t store credit card details of your customers. There is no official backup function, but it makes revisions of your page that you can restore.

Siteupp customer support

You’ll see the support chat popup everywhere on Siteupp’s site. You can write your questions into the support popup 24/7 and they usually reply within a few hours.

Its help centre is not worth mentioning, it’s actually the same as their FAQ.

Pricing

Siteupp offers 3 tiers. In all plans included are SSL and stock image library.
